My love for Kawaii started the summer of 2014. I saw a page at Facebook called "Rainbowholic". In an instant I started getting interested at what I'm reading at the page. I continued to like it by checking out the page everyday and waiting for a new post. I also searched for more pages related to kawaii and followed it as well.
I got more curious of their culture. One day a friend of my cousin invited us for an over night at her place, we met at an SM Mall near her place, she said that we should eat somewhere because she's not sure that her parents cooked dinner yet. We went to a Japanese based themed restaurant called Rai rai ken i think and she ordered this amazing but expensive sushies! It was heaven in my mouth to have my first taste of that kind of sushi. It was really really good so it built confidence in me to try out other Japanese meals. I tried their famous 'bento box' and tempura. what can I say? It was worth every penny!
At the rainbowholic page i saw a post about the Ozine Anime convention fest. I begged my boyfriend if we could go there even though its not his thing. And so we did. I got more inspired after seeing more people who adored the japan tradition of cosplaying. They were unique people who knew how to put the 'I' in individual. I wasn't a complete super fan of Japanese Cosplaying but i was an appreciator of it. For me it was cool and fun and of course different in the best way it could.
I hope to one day visit the streets of Japan and experience more from the land of the rising sun.
